Guy Stuff - Announcement from American Girl

American Girl took to Facebook Live today to make an announcement that they are publishing a book similar to the already popular Care and Keeping of You but for boys called Guy Stuff. Its targeted for 8 and up. Skylar's baby brother just turned 8 four days ago! Perfect timing! I can't wait to pick up this book and see if some of the topics would my little man be willing to discuss. I got Care and Keeping of You book when Skylar turned 10 years old so he may need to wait 2 years to be able to maturely handle all the topics of the book. I am super excited about it. What do you think?

Doll's first Sleepover

Big Will hasn't been able to sleepover anywhere because I can't be without mom that long.
Lil' Will got the opportunity last night when Chic-Fil-A hosted a Stuffed animal sleepover. You go for dinner and sign in your "friend"... They give you a letter your child can write to his or her friend and some coloring sheets... then you leave your friend at CFA and come back for breakfast with them. They had shared lots of pictures from what the friends did without us...

Little Will visits space

We have a local publication called the North Alabama Kids Directory... They are nice enough to host giveaways on their Facebook page and I have won many :) yay for us.. Anyways we received tickets to the United States Space and Rocket center in Huntsville. The weeks leading up to before we went Zulily had a sale on 18 inch doll clothing and they had for sale a great little flight suit I had been eyeing for awhile on Pinterest and Ebay so I snagged it for William's doll or our collection in general. My husband then decided to use this four day weekend and go to the Space and Rocket Center so Will can go to space. Enjoy the pictures... I was too lazy to edit them LOL

Well a year ago I made my first custom AG doll for my son who was 4.. I had a friend sell me a very TLC doll and I rewigged her to be a boy.. Here is a video and some pictures of Lil Will.

Our Boys love AG too

William my five year old tends to copy his sister. I got to thinking maybe I would get him a boy doll. Well American Girl doesn't make boy dolls. A couple of lucky circumstances landed me with a TLC doll and a wig... Given advice from my AG friends and watched a youtube video.. I gathered supplies (non acetone fingernail polish remover, eye dropper, spoon, and E600 glue) and after a few hours of working on the wig I got it off and now for what I thought was the scary part... putting the wig on. My friends had me shaking in my boots. But it was easy... at least for a boy wig... and then came out Lil Will...

Sure enough William LOVES him.. He doesn't always get play but I am happy for it. William knows there is a doll there if he wants one and its ALL him.

Then I overheard Skylar say I want a blonde boy... I thought she wanted a boy doll too. She always would torture one of her dolls and pull back their hair and dress them in the worst outfit and she would say oh she is homeless or she is the boy. :x

+Beth Applegate  had a doll made for her son and then her son changed her mind so I jumped on the deal! Skylar ended up with the blonde boy -- except she meant a baby boy oops. Oh well Will is happy to have Carlo too! Carlo is a custom doll made by a friend named Tara.. look on the FAQ post for the link to her Facebook page. Oh and Skylar did end up getting a baby boy sooner or later haha.

Now I am saving money to get Tara to do another custom that looks like Mackenzie since I have look a like dolls for Skylar and William.. :)
